Woodcoombe U10 Lionesses have been doing things differently from the beginning.
Starting as an Under 7 side, the Lionesses have grown into a competitive all-girls team playing in the predominantly mixed Medway District Youth League. Along the way, the players have built confidence, resilience, friendships and a genuine sense of team.
For manager James Dunn, the philosophy is simple: Together Everyone Achieves More.
More than just a kit bag
For young players, a football bag carries the things they need to play. Boots, shin pads, training kit and other equipment all move between home, training sessions, matches and tournaments.
When a bag gets left behind, replacing what is inside can quickly become expensive and inconvenient for families.
James summed it up simply:
“If you lose your tools, you cannot work. This gives them a real chance of being returned.”

How TagLink was used
With support from team sponsor ETOS, personalised TagLinks were created for the Lionesses’ kit bags.
Each TagLink included the player’s initials, Woodcoombe club branding and ETOS sponsor branding, combining something practical for families with something that represented the team and its sponsor.
If a bag is found, the QR code gives the finder a simple way to send a secure message and help reconnect the item with its owner.
The response
The simplicity of the idea has been one of its strengths. The tags were prepared and handed out ready for players and families to use, without creating additional administration for the team.
Parents also responded positively to both the appearance and practicality of the tags.
“I would recommend TagLink to any person, not just teams. It literally gives the opportunity for lost property to be returned with easy steps.”
James Dunn, Manager, Woodcoombe FC U10
Why it matters
Grassroots football is about much more than what happens on the pitch.
TagLink gives Woodcoombe families a simple way to protect the kit that helps their players take part, while giving ETOS another meaningful way to support the team beyond traditional sponsorship.
A small addition to a kit bag, with a very practical job to do.
