Lightwater Village School PTA: Turning Lost Property Into School Fundraising
9 Aug 2026

Supporting a school close to home
Our first school fundraising partnership started somewhere particularly meaningful to the TagLink family.
TagLink partnered with Lightwater Village School PTA to create a simple fundraising initiative that helps families protect the things children take to school while generating money for the PTA.
It is also a school with a personal connection to us. Our founders’ children attended Lightwater Village School, so being able to support the community that played a part in their own childhoods made this partnership particularly special.
A fundraiser built around something useful
The idea is deliberately simple.
Families use the code LVSPTA when ordering a TagLink. They receive 10% off their order and £5 from every qualifying TagLink order goes back to Lightwater Village School PTA.
There is no stock for the school to hold and no orders for the school office to process. TagLink manages the website, payment, personalisation and delivery.
The PTA simply helps families discover the offer.
Helping school belongings find their way home
School bags, PE bags, lunch bags and other everyday belongings move between home, classrooms, clubs and activities constantly.
Names and contact details can help identify lost property, but displaying personal information is not always ideal, particularly when children are involved.
TagLink provides another approach.
Attach a TagLink to the item and, if it is found, the finder scans the QR code and sends a secure message. No app or account is required for the finder and the owner’s personal contact details are not displayed.
That makes the product itself relevant to the families supporting the fundraiser.
A model other PTAs can use
For us, that is what makes this partnership particularly exciting.
Fundraising does not always need to mean asking families to buy something they would not otherwise need.
It can give them something genuinely useful while creating a simple additional fundraising stream for the school at the same time.
The Lightwater Village School partnership is the first of what we hope will be many.
