At a busy grassroots football club, bags, kit and equipment are constantly moving between players, coaches, training sessions and fixtures.
That means things occasionally get left behind.
For Curley Park Rangers FC, TagLink was introduced across the U8 Mavericks and U12 Hawks as a simple way to make lost belongings easier to return.
The challenge
Curley Park Rangers is built around community, inclusion and volunteers.
When kit goes missing, the cost is not only the item itself. Someone has to identify it, find the owner and arrange to get it back.
For one of the participating teams, there had been around 12 lost-kit incidents before TagLink was introduced.
How TagLink was used
Tags were created for bags and equipment across the two teams.
Each included club branding and team or player identification, together with a QR code that gives a finder a simple route to contact the right person.
The tags were prepared ready to distribute, helping the club introduce the system without creating another administrative job for coaches or volunteers.
The difference
The results were striking.
According to U8 manager Johnny Hedditch, lost-kit incidents dropped from around 12 to just one after introducing TagLink, and the one remaining incident involved a parent’s glove.

For Curley Park Rangers, TagLink has provided a simple way to reduce lost kit, save volunteer time and give families another route to recover belongings when something gets left behind.
Sometimes the best solutions are the ones that quietly remove a problem.
