Case Study: Woodcoombe U10 Lionesses

More Than a Team. A Football Family.
Woodcoombe U10 Lionesses are the only all-girls team competing in a predominantly mixed league.
With the support of Etos and TagLink, they’re building more than a team. They’re building a football family.
Woodcoombe U10 Lionesses began life as an Under 7 side. From day one, they have been the only all-girls team competing in the Medway District Youth League, a predominantly mixed league made up largely of boys’ teams.
What they’ve achieved since speaks volumes.
Through dedication, commitment and a willingness to learn, the Lionesses have grown from strength to strength. They’ve moved up divisions, competed successfully in summer tournaments, and now go toe-to-toe with ETC and performance squads from professional setups.
They truly embody what TEAM stands for:
Together Everyone Achieves More.

Why Grassroots Football Matters
Grassroots football builds foundations that go far beyond the pitch.
For these girls, it provides:
Confidence
Discipline
Resilience
The ability to perform under pressure
Lifelong friendships
None of the players attend the same school. They come from different backgrounds and social circles. Football has brought them together as one.
It’s not just about the game. It’s about life skills they are learning without even realising it.
“Together Everyone Achieves More.”

The Power of Community Support
Support at grassroots level makes a real difference, no matter the size.
Woodcoombe Lionesses are fortunate to have the backing of Etos, whose contribution goes far beyond kit sponsorship.
Tushar from Etos doesn’t just fund the team. He shows up.
To matches. To tournaments. Even to training sessions.
That presence means something.
Etos isn’t just a sponsor. They’ve become part of the football family the team has built.

Why TagLink Matters
TagLink has provided personalised tags for the team’s kit bags, including initials, club badge and sponsor branding.
For a young player, a kit bag isn’t just a bag. It holds their boots, shin pads, training kit. Their tools.
As James Dunn, Woodcoombe FC Manager puts it:
“If you lose your tools, you cannot work. This gives them a real chance of being returned.”
With TagLink attached, if a bag is left behind after training or a match, it can be identified and the owner notified within minutes.
Simple. Practical. Effective.
Would They Recommend It?
“I would recommend TagLink to any person, not just teams. It literally gives the opportunity for lost property to be returned with easy steps. The tags were set up by the company and handed out ready to go. Parents have been impressed with how it looks, but most importantly how efficient and reliable it is.”
“I would recommend TagLink to any person, not just teams.”
